NGO Network/Partnership Program

BEES initiated NGO network program in September 2004. Under this program, BEES organized opinion exchange meetings & colloquium, need-based training, orientation and workshop with a total of 130 NGOs representatives in Gazipur, Kishoregonj, Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalgonj, Bogra and Gaibandha district. BEES has been conducting Social Assistance Program (SAP), a World Bank (WB) supported project in Gaibandha district since January 2005 with the association of two local NGOs namely Community Development Program (CDP) and UDDYOG. BEES has recently started local NGO network program mostly for two reasons (a) they are locally established and well-known to the people, understand their problems and can provide consecutive support when donor/government support is pulled out (b) cost of service delivery is much less than large & national NGOs.
