Target area & population
BEES’ institutional set-up is encompassed into 17 Area Offices and 91 Unit Offices in different districts while the Central Office is located in Dhaka. BEES’ development initiatives have been expanded in 3,126 villages of 116 upazilas under 29 districts. The districts covered by BEES programs/projects are Dhaka, Gazipur, Hobiganj, Brahmanbaria, Narsingdi, Kishoreganj, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Meherpur, Magura, Chuadanga, Bogra, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Natore, Rajshahi, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat, Pabna, Sirajganj, Jamalpur, Netrocona, Mymensingh, Sherpur, Comilla, Feni, Laxmipur and Noakhali. BEES has established a sturdy association among and with more than 20 lac people, mostly disadvantaged, deprived of all kinds of human rights as well as vulnerable to HIV-AIDS/STIs & ill health, who are receiving development services from BEES.
